Power that works for you

Each year, AMEA awards scholarships to the top four graduating high school seniors in each city served by an AMEA Member electric utility.

To be eligible for an AMEA scholarship, a student’s parent and/or legal guardian must receive electric service from an AMEA Member utility, and the student must attend a four-year college/university, community college, and/or vocational/trade school within the state of Alabama.

The 2019 AMEA Scholarship Program is now underway. Application deadline is Monday, Feb. 11, 2019. Applications are available at AMEA Member city utility offices, city halls and schools within AMEA Member cities. You can also download an application below. (PLEASE NOTE: Although the application is an online fillable form, it must be printed for the applicant and parent and/or legal guardian to sign and mail to the address listed on the application).
